So it begins . . . []_[]NIQUE 305 FAMILY!

This post originally was my emotional response to a high school classmate of mine & now a couple of days later I’m ready to begin a Facebook Group & a corresponding blog because my passion for the []_[] burns deep & even though I enjoyed being an administrator for “Miami Hurricanes Tr[]_[]e Fans” & I'll continue to enjoy “Cane Vader []_[] Family” but it’s now time to spread my Ibis wings & post my unfiltered thoughts.

So, get ready for a place that will be filled with my unbridled passion for the []_[] & LORD willing, it will either encourage your own []_[] Swagger to grow or it will enable you to enter into a place where few dare stand with pride no matter what happens between the lines of the grid iron!

My writing is raw & filled with emotions so you may criticize me however you see fit but don’t ever criticize those who give precious years of their lives to entertain us & inspire us while receiving an amazing opportunity to learn at the best University in the land.

Our coaches, players, & staff make the []_[] unique in this world!

I’m proud to be a MIAMI HURRICANE & at first I thought it was at a level far from those who coached & played but that’s where the []_[]’s spirit is unlike any other.

My friend, Brother Charles Pharms III told me, “You are just as important & equal in the []_[] Family to me & my teammates past, present, & future!”

When my wife & I were House Parents at the Florida Keys Children’s Shelter, the original CP3 drove down to visit us & I took him to the Florida Keys Boys & Girls Club where the children & staff were wide eyed seeing his []_[] National Championship Rings!

Over the years Charles & I have had many awesome conversations about the []_[] & this thing we call life!

When I was coaching soccer as a Miami Senior High School Stingaree in the early 90’s, I occasionally got to attend the []_[]'s Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle & what had been an admiration of MIAMI HURRICANES Football became something much more intense & emotional.

The []_[] was in the midst of winning 58 straight games at our beloved Orange Bowl in Little Havana!

I’ve strayed far from introducing my post from the day after Thanksgiving but I’m content with the groundwork that’s a foundation for me to express my love for the []_[] & even before I’ve checked to see if there is a group already called “[]_[] Family” or not, I’ve convinced myself of what the name should be.

Wait for it!

Are you ready for some []_[] Football!

[]_[]NIQUE 305 FAMILY!

[]_[] Football is my passion but I also will post anything & everything about the []_[] that touches my spirit.

So despite the []_[]'s first loss of the season, I’m extremely excited if nothing else to document my own journey of life & how the []_[] has, is, & will continue to richly bless me!

Thank []_[] for adding pain to an open wound that hasn’t even begun healing yet with this comment:

“My deepest condolences to you on the horrendous loss by The U.”

Despite playing our worst game of the season, everything is still in our control because a victory next weekend over defending National Champions Clemson would make the MIAMI HURRICANES ACC Champions & undoubtedly would give us a place in the college Football Playoffs!

It’s been a decade & a half of frustrating results but because I live 24/7/365 for the []_[] no matter what, this season has been awesome yet stressful, exciting yet upsetting, but when the []_[] is relevant, it only makes being part of the []_[] Family better!

It’s always great to be a MIAMI HURRICANE!

However it’s a CANES thing & you just won’t understand!

I don’t need your condolences because I’m part of the most amazing group of people in this world from different cultures & who may speak different languages but we bond together with current & former players like no other college football program on the planet because we are the []_[]!

You don’t even need to respect us because disrespect simply adds fuel to the fire & Hard Rock Stadium has become lit like the Orange Bowl used to be!

I actually feel sad for you & everyone else who doesn’t want to or isn’t able to be a MIAMI HURRICANE because it’s simply the best!

Despite what you consider a “horrendous” loss today, I’m richly blessed to continue spreading my devotion of the []_[] all over Tucson, Arizona & beyond because I’m not simply a MIAMI HURRICANES fan when we win, I’m a HURRICANE for life & though the disappointments hurt for a bit, the triumphs & successes are spine tingling in such a way that the horrific nerve pain I live with 24/7/365 is not only eased for a moment or two but I actually feel like I did before multiple spinal surgeries & that is a precious blessing which is even greater than when the STL Cardinals win!

After almost 3 years of being house parents to 10 kiddos, my wife & I were literally burned out & frazzled emotionally, mentally, physically, & spiritually.

What began our healing process exactly a year ago?

A trip to the 305, the []_[]'s victory over Duke in our final regular season game, a drive to Key West for 8 days in paradise all in a Ford Mustang Convertible!

So . . . it may seem “horrendous” to you & all the other people who hate everything about the []_[] & enjoy saying negative things about us, but to me, today’s loss was a bummer & nothing more because there are goals in front of us & a loss to Pitt didn’t keep Clemson from winning the National Championship last year & we can’t let it keep us from winning it this year!

Will we win it all?

Maybe or maybe not but I’ll continue bleeding orange & green no matter the outcome & LORD have mercy if the []_[] wins their next 3 games because if that does happen, then we who always agree that it’s great to be a MIAMI HURRICANE will most definitely let y’all know loud & clear that the []_[] is back!

Funny thing about the []_[] being back, nobody has ever reached where we were so we are the only ones able to breathe that rarified air!

So, actually, my condolences to you for never being able to experience all that it entails to live life knowing that it’s all about the []_[]!

It’s great to be a MIAMI HURRICANE!
